Instructions
Assignment #3 Instructions:
For Assignment #3, you will gather objective data on yourself. Remember you are your own client for this class. This is a continuation of the client initial interview and assessment process you began in assignment 1 WK 1 and Assignment 2 WK 3. The protocols that you develop now can serve as a blueprint for your future work as a Personal Trainer or Coach and as an assessment template for your individual use.

Defining the term Objective Information as it relates to a Fitness Assessments, will assist you in analyzing why Objective Information is important to gather when developing an exercise program and how it relates to goal implementation.

Assignment #3 WK4
For this assignment you will define the term Objective Information as it relates to Fitness Assessments. Describe why Objective Information is important to your program design and implementation. You will also perform ALL of the fitness assessments identified below. These assessments may not be beneficial to YOU as an individual client, however as a trainer and/or coach you will need to know how to complete each assessment on any given client.

In gathering your objective data you must first determine the appropriate assessments to perform on your client. Using the guidelines in the attached document “WK4 Assignment 3 Rationale for fitness assessments”, identify the fitness assessments that you would perform on yourself if you could choose the assessment data you wanted to gather. Identify the assessments you would exclude. Explain your decisions.

This Data is to be collected on yourself, as YOU are the client. Once data is gathered you will explain how you (as a trainer or coach) plan on using this information to assist you in your exercise program design.

There are several ways to incorporate a Template/Table into your WORD document; a few hints:

If you are unsure of how to do this -the easiest way is to complete your template on one document, then take a screenshot (I use a Mac & the command for screenshot is command+shift+4, which then gets saved as a pic. On a PC, there is often a “print screen” button which actually saves the screenshot to your desktop OR to a clipboard for you to paste in a word doc), open and copy the picture, then paste it into the document in the appropriate spot.
