My selected career is maintenance technician in the aviation industry. The major contributing companies in my career field are the IT industry. Technology has gained popularity among the populace, and it is the best way to ensure service improvement. For instance, while training to be a maintenance technician, technology has played a huge role in fostering my research and improving my skills (Kondo & Hegedus, 2020). Another contributing industry is the spaceship industry which facilitates manufacturing the aircraft. It contributes by ensuring that different aircraft types have been manufactured according to the consumer’s preferences. Moreover, the organization contributes to the employment industry through vacancy creation.
The spaceship company is actively hiring and has significant opportunities for its workers. For instance, the spaceship company has maintenance technician positions for the spaceships sent to space. A workforce is needed for the flight attendant positions for the spaceships sent into the space (Naeem, 2018). The aviation industry has long hiring vacancies, especially because of the high employee turnover rate. The industry needs workers skilled to work under intense pressure because of the rapidly growing population in the aviation industry. The spaceship company needs high-level experience, and most workers from the aircraft industries are legible for such opportunities.
The aviation industry experiences significant changes in the employment sector. New employment trends have been introduced that determine whether an individual will (Szabo & Koblen, 2020). The industry has contributed to creating employment chances, and many people have secured different types of jobs depending on their expertise. Technology is one of the changing employment trends in the industry that contributes to . The industry has been employing more males than females for an extended period, which was quite controversial. However, the employment trends have ensured that more female positions have been created to establish gender equality within the industry.
Another impact of employment trends in the sector is that graduate workers secure job chances. The aviation industry focuses on employing qualified workers since they have been trained and have enough skills purposely for their assigned duties. The aviation industry avoids the employment of inexperienced personnel to minimize the risk levels faced (Sobieralski & Hubbard, 2019). Internship is another employment trend that positively impacts the industry because it offers changes to training students to help practice and improve their skills. The passenger population has significantly grown; thus, the industry needs enough workforce skills to .
The prospects for future employment trends speculate growth in the aviation industry market; thus, more opportunities need to be developed. One of the negative trends affecting the employment sector is a huge loss of workers, especially in retirement. The aviation industry has struggled to obtain new and highly experienced workers for the vacant posts (Wittmer & Linden, 2021). However, despite the challenge, young people are interested in the employment opportunities created in the aviation industry. Most will look for less stressful jobs; thus, the industry will have a minimal workforce expected to serve the growing market. Working in the industry has extra pressure because of the large traveling population, which can negatively impact employment trends.
The aviation industry faces gaps and surpluses just like other companies while struggling to maintain a significant balance. The major gap affecting the aviation industry is the higher retirement rate of workers, especially the aviation techniques. The industry experiences that gap primarily because securing skilled technicians is a huge struggle. The skilled mechanic population will decrease because most young people venture into different occupations. Working as an aviation technician or mechanic is stressful since an individual needs to be updated with the trends, thus impacting their output production (Kondo & Hegedus, 2020). The central solution for that problem is developing programs and offering study scholarships for people to venture into aviation management and training to ensure that they have created a balance between the retiring workers and the growing service demand.
The industry surplus experienced is the ability to create employment opportunities for both the local and international technicians to secure opportunities. Most of the current workforce is approaching the retirement age, and providing training programs has facilitated the training of new workers for the replacement. Another surplus in the field is aviation management developing different training opportunities for the extra vacancies (Naeem, 2018). That is an excellent strategy to ensure that more students have been attracted to the field to cover the threatening gap. The surplus ensures that mentorship programs have been established and the qualifications are more refined to prevent locking out . Another surplus within the field is that it provides growth opportunities for the workers. For instance, workers within aviation industries are legible for working in the spaceship industries. Such opportunities will help build the employment challenges faced in the industries since workers have an excellent growth space.
In conclusion, the aviation industry faces both positive and negative impacts. Many different industries have been developed which offer better opportunities compared to aviation. Many young workers will be attracted to working without pressure or intense training to achieve skill perfection. Despite the external and internal complications faced, the aviation industry continues to prevail while ensuring that employment and growth opportunities are available. Aviation merges with education programs as a new trend in the employment sector to help students prepare to work within the industry after receiving the required training and skill improvement.
