Justification as to why a program is needed

General Instructions

Your proposal must include the following headings only:

Background and Rationale (approx. 500-600 words)
Introduction to the issue and justification as to why the program is needed
Goals of the program (approx. 200-300 words)
Describe the goals of the program and explain why they have been chosen
Methodology (including use of theoretical framework; approx. 700-800 words)
An over view of your program: There should be sufficient information for a reader to know what components there are in your program and how they work. It should not, however, consist of minute details (e.g., curriculum of a single psychoeducation session).
A of why your program will work, including application of the approach to the target population and careful consideration of the barriers to planning a culturally appropriate intervention when you are from a .
Identify the theoretical framework chosen and explain how it fits within your program.
Others:

Construct as a flowing, integrative narrative (i.e., no dot points are allowed)
Images and figures are not allowed
You should not use more than TWO theories
Theories should be chosen from the five theories/models below:
1. health belief model
2. Transtheoretical model
3. Theory of reasoned action and theory of planned behavior
4. Social Cognitive theory
5. Self determination theory

Your program should not have more than THREE major components (e.g., psychoeducation, peer support, trainings)
Your intervention should be aimed at the larger group/community rather than at an individual level. So having one to one therapy (e.g., Cognitive behavioral therapy) is not the focus of this assignment
An economic analysis of your proposed program/intervention is not required

Topic 1.
For this topic you will assume the role of a health psychology who is proposing a new health program with the aim to change one of the following behaviors below with the reference to one of the following populations
1. an indigenous population of the topics( student selected)
2. A refugee community or
3. militarily veterans (current and discharged)

Topic 3
For this topic assume the role of a healthy psychologist and propose a new health program to meet the requirements of one of the groups below:
Options
1. Social and emotional well being program to be delivered in schools which in a multicultural and diverse society.
2. Suicide prevention mental health literacy program for culturally and linguistically diverse communities e.g. refugees , neurodiversity
3. Rural and remote communities – a program on suicide awareness within the community.
