You have had an opportunity to review the ethical position statements of the American Nurses Association. These position statements are reviewed from time to time. In June of 2018, the ANA Membership Assembly met to discuss changes, if any, to the ANA position statement Euthanasia, Assisted Suicide and Aid in Dying.

Read the ANA position statement on Euthanasia, Assisted Suicide and Aid in Dying posted in Module 8. Choose one of the 4 options proposed in the debate session overview that you think is the best of the four position statements. Address each issue below.
Explain the basis for your choice and include how the option you selected fits with your world view.
Identify ethical that support your option; identify any systems/principles/values that could be sited in opposition to your choice.
In addition to sources in this course, use at least 2 of the references from the debate session overview to support your decision.
The Current ANA Position Statement,
Although a nurses participation in aid in dying has been prohibited by law and professional nursing ethics codes, numerous studies have shown that over the past 20 years 1%-18% of nurses provided or prescribed drugs to a patient knowing the patient intended to use them to hasten death or intentionally injected drugs to hasten a patients death (Stokes, 2017).
If you believe the idea that a changing trend and more people doing something is not the basis for change, defend your position. If you believe, more people doing something is a good reason to support the activity, defend your position.
Write a 10001500-word essay addressing each of the points. Be sure to completely answer all the questions for each question. Support your ideas with at least three (3) citations in your essay. Make sure to reference the citations using the APA writing style for the essay. The cover page and reference page do not count towards the minimum word amount. Review the rubric criteria for this assignment.

References: Use the appropriate APA style in-text citations and references for all resources utilized to answer the questions. Include at least three (3) scholarly sources to support your claims.
